Quit smoking for good might be your game plan. But first lets look at why you are here. If you are here it means that you have tried to quit before am I right? So here is what I suggest. Don’t quit smoking! Crazy right? Well, not so much just keep reading.

 

Ok, How can someone NOT quit smoking, but not die?

This is what I propose. Try smoking electronic cigarettes. If you know you have zero will power. In fact suck a small amount of will power that you type quit smoking for good into a search engine. Then maybe quiting is just not for you. Let me tell you something, smoking is not bad, if it doesn’t kill you!

 

So what is an E-cigarette?

An E-Cigarette otherwise known as an electronic cigarette, is a healthier way to smoke. See when you smoke an electronic cigarette, you are only getting the nicotine, and we already know that nicotine isn’t what kills people! What else is there to know about these “e-cigarettes”?

 

Can it help you quit?

The answer is YES! Studies, and surveys take show that once a person starts using these electronic cigarettes that there cravings went down, and some even say it helped them quit all together!

 

If you smoke E-cigarette you can expect to save up to 70% of what you regularly spend buying cigarette’s.

So, if it is so cheap, and if you kick the risk of dying from it, and if you still get that same GREAT feeling from it. Then why not do it? Now you don’t have to quit smoking for good!

My wife and I both quit smoking for good two years ago–after being heavy smokers for nearly 30 years.  She did it her way, and I did it mine.  Both ways worked, but her way was harder and cost a bunch of money.  

My wife had tried to quit smoking before, several times, and had failed every time.  For the first big attempt at quitting smoking, she tried patches.  These seemed work for a while.  But then I found her smoking in the bathroom.  (I had been wondering why she always turned on the exhaust fan when she entered the bathroom.)  And then she admitted that those expensive nicotine patches just made her want to smoke more.  So instead of quitting or even cutting down her cigarette consumption, she wound up smoking more (but secretively this time) than she ever had.  

Then, two years ago, my wife suffered a severe back injury, and that’s what made her finally decide to quit.  While she was in flat on her fractured back in the hospital and pumped full of morphine, she had no desire for a cigarette.  But when she got home, the cravings returned full force and the battle began.  So she used the pills prescribed by the doctors.

What my wife used was a well known regimen of pills, constructed around a progression of pill ingestion, that is supposed to help with anxiety and suppress nicotine cravings.  The pills worked, I guess, but the side effects were hard to deal with.  It affected her ability to taste, and food didn’t taste right to her for about six months.  She also had frequent bad dreams–frightening, night sweat-inducing dreams that she tried to forget and was reluctant to talk about.  And to top it all off, I spent about 0 on those infernal pills.

I had tried to quit several time before, too.  I tried to do it cold turkey and just tough it out through sheer will power.  And . . . I failed miserably every time.  The first two days were always easy, but the third day–that dreadful third day–was when things got tough.  I got nervous and irritable, and I was restless.  So I drank more coffee than usual and grew even more irritable and short tempered.  And because I was jacked on caffeine, I really wanted a cigarette.  One of those times, my wife and daughter came to me and said this:  “OK, you’ve got two choices.  You can either go buy you some cigarettes–or you can find a new place to live.”  So, naturally, I got in the car, drove to the convenience store, and bought a pack of cigarettes.

When I finally did quit smoking for good, I thought I did it cold turkey through sheer will power.  Looking back now, though, I see that I didn’t really do it that way.  What happened was I had unwittingly applied some of the principles and techniques of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).

I changed my self-perception and began to see myself as a non-smoker–not just a person making a mighty effort of will to reluctantly give up an incorrigible habit.  I used confidence-inspiring and success-promoting self-talk.  I began to think differently, altering my emotional responses to sensory stimuli and smoking triggers.  I examined and modeled what other people had done to successfully stop smoking.  I was unconsciously using NLP.

I wish now that I had known more about NLP and about some of the proven stop-smoking programs based on it.  It really seems to work.  And I know from our own first-hand experience that quitting by means of NLP is a lot safer and lot cheaper than the chemical-based methods.

There are many reasons why you should quit smoking for good. It is considered to be life-threatening habit and a dangerous form of addiction. Giving it up maybe one of the most difficult task you have to do in your life, as it can have an adverse effect on your physical, psychological and emotional state. But it is something you have to stop before it is too late to improve your health after you quit.

If you are very particular on how you looked especially now that you are getting older. You tend to buy expensive beauty regimen to maintain your youthfulness. But did you know if you quit smoking for good then your skin will recover and youthful appearance is now possible, as smoking can make you older than your actual age.

One reason to quit smoking for good is social acceptance. As many researchers have proven that smoking can provide negative effects on the body of non-smokers, the government itself is now making some moves to protect non-smokers from negative effects of second hand smoking.

As a matter of fact, several business establishments are now banning smokers and if this is you, I guarantee it can be very annoying not to eat anymore with places you frequently go to. Even some landlords prefer to accept non-smokers or the employers around, as they are also thinking on how it can affect their business or their homes.

Moreover, another reason to quit smoking for good is that life is precious. Consider smoking as a slow poison which happens to kill slowly. It is also like playing with your life when you smoke. In addition, smokers are more prone to snoring as they lungs are filled with unwanted particles to unable the lungs to perform accordingly. This is according to the studies made and published in American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.

Aside from the physical and emotional aspect of quit smoking for good, by stopping to smoke you can also help save the environment by not adding to the already problem of air pollution. Not to mention the fact that you will be using less of the air fresheners to cover your smoking habit. You can also save tons of money from both the cigar and air freshener.

What’s more your clothes will also smell better compared to the time that you smoke, your halitosis will go away as well. Think about it, there are a lot of reasons why you should choose to quit smoking for good and that reasons is something you have to discover yourself to fully enjoy.

The reasons to give up smoking are just plain too many to mention. It would probably take a day for me to explain in details why should everyone must quit smoking and do it while the damages are still minimal.

Every person has their own reasons why they are smoking, for some it is to ease and calm their sense while working. Then some feels that smoking keep them slim, hip and cool. Others feel that it is just their way to keep themselves occupied and more alive. If any of these are your reasons, the problem is not just smoking cigarettes but your own self-confidence and worth.

If you really value your life and those who care for you, they are all the reasons to give up smoking for good. You do not have to know that cigarettes can shorten your life, make you susceptible to cancer, smell bad and feel bad all the time, as the mere thoughts of what can smoking cigarettes can do to them and you should already be a good reason to finally quit smoking.

Smoking is a habit that once you started to get contended will inevitably ingrain in your life and probably in the life of those who will be your most likely victim. Notice when I say the word “victim”, this is not because you will threaten them with burning but once you keep on smoking, it will  naturally affect them as well.

Passive or second hand smoke is even more dangerous than the effect of smoking to your health. This is the reason why in some states in United States, smoking cigarettes indoor is already prohibited and considered as offensive because of the effect it can give any person who will come in contact with smoker.

If you really need reasons to give up smoking, I suggest that you look around you and be the judge on how smoker tend to live their life, better yet, think about what is your life like when you have been smoking and how it affected you, health and financial wise.

You should not wait for a doctor to give you the reasons to give up smoking, because by then you will surely not appreciate whatever the doctor will likely tell you. In fact, I guarantee that you will not like it one bit and may even hate yourself of your own stupidity and carefree life.

The choice is yours and the decisions to quit smoking does not need a mind blowing reasons to make you give it up, other than the fact that it is your way to live longer and healthy.

Trying to stop smoking cold is really tough, if by stopping “cold” you mean tossing out your cigarettes one morning and never going back and not using any type of smoking cessation help. It can be done, but it has about a 95% fail rate. If by stopping “cold” you mean tossing the smokes and never lighting up again with help from some sort of plan, that’s much much more doable.

Everyone is encouraging you to quit smoking for good. You’ve probably thought over the problem and wondered if you could do it, but shoved the thought aside in the end. You’re not ready, you think. Maybe you’re thinking it’s too late for you, that you’re already hooked.

Maybe you’re scared that you’ll fail, so you’re telling yourself there’s no point in trying. Those thoughts are already a clue that it’s time to stop smoking now, if only to prove to yourself that you really are that strong and can kick the habit.

Make no mistake: you will have to be strong to quit smoking. Stopping a habit is difficult, and one that comes with cravings is even harder to kick. But if so many people have stopped smoking for good, there really isn’t any reason to think you can’t stop smoking too. In fact, here is plenty of support, help for ways to stop smoking, as well as quit smoking aids available to make quitting easier than ever.

Before you decide to quit, sit down and write a list of all the reasons to stop smoking now. Think of everything you can: your health, financial aspects, odor and smells, house damage, risks for your children or friends. No reason is too small. Now, write down all the reasons you should continue to smoke. The lists probably don’t even come close to evening out, do they?

The list of reasons to quit smoking should be something you carry everywhere for a while. The point is to remind yourself why you should stop smoking and have that list on hand to read each time you smoke.

You’re eventually going to turn your internal dialogue messages into ones that discourage you from continuing to smoke, which is great.

Pick a quit date. Make sure it’s a date well in the future and one that isn’t going to have other stressors going on at that time. Your quit date will be the day you stop smoking for good.

Plan for it, prepare yourself for it and tell everyone about it. Quitting smoking starts a long, long time before you actually have your last cigarette.

Withdrawal symptoms are the worst part about trying to quit smoking. When you try to quit smoking, you might mentally think that you need the nicotine contained in the cigarettes.

Oftentimes, however, you can trick your brain into forgetting about those craving by drinking a glass of water or doing something else that will take your mind off it.

Your doctor can give you some medical advice on ways to quit smoking, too. You can choose one or more aids because it’s proven that quitting cold turkey doesn’t have successful results. Many people use patches, hypnotism, laser treatment, and other ways to quit smoking.

There really is no reason to be a martyr and put yourself through the hardest times possible. Accept help from your doctor, listen to advice about coping with cravings and make the process easier.

If you say yes i smoke.. i drink and disclose the quantity of consumption you are safeguarding your life. Yes insurance company is not against tobacco or alcohol but if you don’t disclose your personal habits your claim may be rejected. If you have disclosed the company might have charged an extra premium and issued the policy.Not only the personal habits but also your previous medical history is very much taken into consideration. Mostly non disclosure is not done intentionally the person who sells the product will fill up the application and ensures that the policy get issued fast and he gets his commission forgetting about the long term consequences of non disclosure of material facts. Why the sales person have to do this is because if you disclose that you have undergone a surgery last year before issuing the policy the medical test that has to be taken will be strict, will take more time. The company may ask to pay extra premium which is again tough for the sales man to go again and ask to cut a cheque.. So the next time you take a insurance don’t forget to fill up the form in full by yourself and disclose everything with integrity. If not when need arise that is in your absence your loved ones will not be given the claim… so be cautious after all its your hard earned money honey!!

The next big mess happening in the industry is wrong selling the ULIP products. Insurance is for protection and not investment. watch out for the article on how investors are cheated by selling ULIP.

There is one essential key in the battle to quit smoking for good.  Most of us know what it is.  We just don’t consistently put into practice what we know we should.

If quitting smoking is your goal, then there is one step you absolutely have to take if you want to be successful.  And that is to remove or avoid all the triggers that make you want to smoke a cigarette.  Sounds simple, right?

It is simple . . . in theory.  But, as with anything worth doing, the difficulty and complexity arrive during the practical application of the theory.  That means you need awareness and vigilance, an assiduously applied plan, and even the help of a proven stop-smoking program.  

The first thing to keep in mind is that we are not the logical creatures we like to think we are.  We operate most of the time on emotions and sensuous associations.  Generally, it’s only after the fact–after we make a decision or embark on a course of action–that we come up with a rational explanation for why we did what we did.  We first act, most of the time, because of an environmental, emotional, or associational trigger.  And so it is with smoking.

Think about it.  When do you crave a cigarette the most?  It’s usually after a big meal, when you’re stressed, with your favorite beverage, during the poker game, when you’re bored, when the in-laws arrive.
These are the things you must take pains to avoid.

Here’s how it worked for me.  About a year before I quit smoking for good, we moved to a rural area.  The house sits beside a small lake and has a huge deck on the side facing the lake.  I formed the habit of sitting in my favorite deck chair for hours in the evening, watching the lake and the wildlife, sipping my favorite drink and smoking.  It wasn’t long until every time I went out on the deck I wanted a cigarette.  That was the strongest smoking trigger for me.

So when I gave up smoking, I also had to give up sitting on the deck.  I tried it a couple of times, but the craving for a cigarette was too powerful.  As much as I missed it, I had to give up my quiet time on the deck.  And I still don’t go out there much now.  It’s not safe for me.

Just as I discovered that deck-sitting was out for me, you’ve got to figure exactly what your smoking triggers are.  Then you need to write them down and draw up a plan.  Your plan might include rescheduling meal times, avoiding certain places and situations, finding new methods for dealing with stress, and so on.  If you go into the battle armed with this awareness and a plan, your odds of victory will be that much greater.

It worked for me anyhow.  I just wish I had also been aware of some the other proven techniques for quitting smoking for good.  Armed with these, I would, possibly, have won a quicker victory.

This will give you a huge incentive to continue the success and you can use the money you save from stopping smoking weed to fund the trip or party. Always ensure that you follow these steps and you will find that in no time at all, you will be able to join the ranks of the non-smokers of the world. Taking advantage of all of the help available as well as holding yourself accountable is a huge step in the right direction.
