About The Country

The summers are warm and the winters are moderate with some snow. May and June are the sunniest months. Weather changes quite frequently from cloudy to sunny and vice versa. If planning the visit during the summer, lightweight woolen or cotton clothes are recommended and jacket for spring and autumn. Always carry raincoat for that untimely showers. Incase of emergency call 999 or 112.

Culture

Most of the locals prefer speaking English here. Handshaking is customary. Irish are social people and are good at having a lively chat even with strangers. People live in great harmony and make great friends. Foreigners are welcomed with warmth and are made to feel at home. Guests are never sent back empty stomach as food is always served at any time of the day, to the guest. Most of the locals come from an agricultural background. Dinner is considered to be a meal of importance as it is the time when the whole family gets together and eat. One can dress casually when out on the streets except women are expected to dress formally at social gatherings and at fine restaurants. Smoking is banned in public places.

Shopping

Many towns organize flee markets at least once a week, which is worth checking out for cheap goods. Belfast is the shopping capital of Ireland; most of the stores open up early and close early too. On Thursdays, shops remain open till 8 in the night. Value Added Tax of almost 17% is charged, which can be reclaimed later. So if the visitors buy anything from the stores remember to check if the store operates the Retail Export Scheme, which would require the passport and filling of the Tax Free Shopping Form by the sales person. If the restaurant bill doesn’t includes any tax, leave behind a 10% tip to appreciate their service. Giving a tip to the porters and hair dressers is customary here.

The voltage in Northern Ireland is 240V, 50AC.

Getting There

The national airline that operates here is Aer Lingus, which provides service from most of the major cities of the world. Airlines like Delta Air Lines and many other have been introduced and to promote them, promotional air fares are being offered. Checking out such offers will prove to be money savers. There are many flights from UK to Ireland. The Dublin airport is located at 10 km away from the city. Services like taxis, air coach, buses transport passengers to their destination. Airport has duty free shops, bank, currency exchange, car hire, tourism information, and restaurants for a comfortable journey. Shannon Airport is situated to the north of Limerick City and is 24 km and 25 minutes away from it. Buses, coaches and taxis are available for transportation. Other services that are provided are duty free shops, currency exchange, bank, tourism information and restaurants. While planning to travel, check out other airports like Cork Airport and Knock Information Airport for more options. A departure tax of €10 is to be paid by people over 12 years of age at the Knock International Airport.

To take ferries check out the Baltimore, Galway, Dublin, Wexford and Kinsale ports. Most of the ferries offer high-speed services. Time to time special offers are being announced which can be availed to save money. Check out the websites as some of them offer online booking facility.

1. 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 250g of tobacco
2. 1l of spirits and distilled beverages (more than 22 per cent) or 2l of other alcoholic beverages with an alcoholic strength not exceeding 22 per cent, including sparkling or fortified wine, plus 2l of table wine
3. 50g of perfume and 250ml of eau de toilette

The carrier should be above 17 years of age. Sharp objects, explosives, firearms, food or agricultural items and hay or straw should be brought along as they are strictly prohibited.

About the city

The crowd is attracted to sparkling ski slopes of the Alps, sunlit vineyards and sun-baked beaches of this beautiful country. France is a country which draws more tourists than any other country. It is easy to see why this is the case given France’s great reputation for fine wines, good food, high fashion and relaxed lifestyle. But while France is undoubtedly a place to eat and drink till your heart is content, there’s much more to this fascinating country than only cutting-edge cuisines. Spring is the best time to be here, and those interested in winter sports can drop at the Alps and Pyrenees with some polar gear. The summers are very hot and winters are moderate. An all-weather coat and pair of comfortable shoes are a must. Women, especially, should carry cocktail dresses as some of the restaurants ask for it. When visiting any religious site, refrain from wearing sleeveless shirt and shorts, as they are disliked at such places.

Culture

English is widely spoken here, although French is the official language. Handshaking is
customary greeting and women should be kissed on both cheeks and should be addressed
as Monsieur or Madame. French people are popularly known for their like for stylish sportswear
and of course perfumes. Nudism is allowed on some beaches only. Social functions, fine
restaurants, and clubs call for more formal dressing. When at a formal dinner, wait till the host
gestures to start the dinner. Smoking is banned in public places.

Site Seeing

Paris, the city of love, is a massive city with many attractions in reachable distance thanks to the
highly efficient public transport system. It boasts of more than 80 museums and 200 arts
galleries. A trip to Disney land and the magnificent Eiffel tower will make the trip worthwhile.
The attractive tourists spots are the Arc de triomphe which spans over the tomb of an
unknown soldier, the forbidding gothic architecture of the Notre Dame cathedral, the picturesque
Sacre Coeur, to Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the Moulin Rouge and boat tours along the
Seine. Get the Carte Musees-Monuments pass, which gives access to 70 monuments and
museums.

Shopping

Although service tax is included in the bill, a humble tip won’t cost much. An extra dollar can be given as tip to the waiter. A tip of can be left for the bus drivers.

Getting There

The national airline that operates here is Air France. Many low-cost airlines, too, provide services from UK. Paris-Charles de Gaulle also known as Roissy-Charles de Gaulle is the major airport of France, which is 23km away from the city. Coaches, taxis, limousines services are provided at the airport. The railway facility provided by the airport, claims to reach all the terminals within eight minutes. These trains run 24 hours. The other airports that offer flight services are Paris-Orly, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nice, Lyon and Toulouse.

Ferry and cruise trips can be made from ports such as Atlantic, North Sea, Mediterranean, and Havre.

About the city

The crowd is attracted to sparkling ski slopes of the Alps, sunlit vineyards and sun-baked beaches of this beautiful country. France is a country which draws more tourists than any other country. It is easy to see why this is the case given France’s great reputation for fine wines, good food, high fashion and relaxed lifestyle. But while France is undoubtedly a place to eat and drink till your heart is content, there’s much more to this fascinating country than only cutting-edge cuisines. Spring is the best time to be here, and those interested in winter sports can drop at the Alps and Pyrenees with some polar gear. The summers are very hot and winters are moderate. About the city

The crowd is attracted to sparkling ski slopes of the Alps, sunlit vineyards and sun-baked beaches of this beautiful country. France is a country which draws more tourists than any other country. It is easy to see why this is the case given France’s great reputation for fine wines, good food, high fashion and relaxed lifestyle. But while France is undoubtedly a place to eat and drink till your heart is content, there’s much more to this fascinating country than only cutting-edge cuisines. Spring is the best time to be here, and those interested in winter sports can drop at the Alps and Pyrenees with some polar gear. The summers are very hot and winters are moderate. An all-weather coat and pair of comfortable shoes are a must. Women, especially, should carry cocktail dresses as some of the restaurants ask for it. When visiting any religious site, refrain from wearing sleeveless shirt and shorts, as they are disliked at such places. 

Culture

English is widely spoken here, although French is the official language. Handshaking is
customary greeting and women should be kissed on both cheeks and should be addressed
as Monsieur or Madame. French people are popularly known for their like for stylish sportswear and of course perfumes. Nudism is allowed on some beaches only. Social functions, fine restaurants, and clubs call for more formal dressing. When at a formal dinner, wait till the host gestures to start the dinner. Smoking is banned in public places.

Paris, the city of love, is a massive city with many attractions in reachable distance thanks to thehighly efficient public transport system. It boasts of more than 80 museums and 200 arts
galleries. A trip to Disney land and the magnificent Eiffel tower will make the trip worthwhile.
The attractive tourists spots are the Arc de triomphe which spans over the tomb of an
unknown soldier, the forbidding gothic architecture of the Notre Dame cathedral, the picturesque Sacre Coeur, to Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the Moulin Rouge and boat tours along the Seine. Get the Carte Musees-Monuments pass, which gives access to 70 monuments and museums.Shopping

Although service tax is included in the bill, a humble tip won’t cost much. An extra dollar can be given as tip to the waiter. A tip of can be left for the bus rivers.

Getting There

The national airline that operates here is Air France. Many low-cost airlines, too, provide services from UK. Paris-Charles de Gaulle also known as Roissy-Charles de Gaulle is the major airport of France, which is 23km away from the city. Coaches, taxis, limousines services are provided at the airport. The railway facility provided by the airport, claims to reach all the terminals within eight minutes. These trains run 24 hours. The other airports that offer flight services are Paris-Orly, Marseille, Bordeaux, Nice, Lyon and Toulouse.
Ferry and cruise trips can be made from ports such as Atlantic, North Sea, Mediterranean, and Havre.

Electronic cigarette is a product designed exclusively for smokers to reduce the defects caused due to normal smoking. Electronic cigarette or E-CIG, as it is popularly known as, looks and feels exactly like a traditional cigarette, but the harmful effects of the later is not present.

The E-Cig consists of three main parts; battery that energizes the components, a cartridge that contains vaporizing liquid and an atomizer. On inhalation, the heating element called atomizer inside the E-Cig is switched on and causes the vaporizing liquid to evaporate. The vaporizing liquid vaporizes giving an effect similar to smoke. This vaporizing liquid comes with different flavors and nicotine strength. The vapor tastes and feels just like the smoke produced while taking a puff with a normal cigarette.

E-Cig is very economic on the long run when compared to the normal cigarette. The starter pack costs around 0. When the cartridge gets empty, no need to buy another pack. It has replaceable and refillable parts; later on you can just refill the cartridge, thus saving your money. With inflation and Government imposing tax hikes on normal cigarette, to reduce the tobacco usage, cigarette price will rise for sure, but such hikes are not applicable to E-Cig.

The harmful stuffs like tar and tobacco are not present in E-Cig that makes you free from many harmful side effects. There is no burning in E-Cig and so you don’t breathe in smoke. Less than 4000 chemicals are available in the E-Cig comparing the normal cigarette. The list on ill effects of normal cigarettes is non-ending. With e-cig you will have a better health with less cold and cough and easier breathing. You can be free from tar and tobacco in electric cigarettes, thus decreasing the risk of many types of cancer.

When there is no smoke, it is obvious that there won’t be the smoke smell too. Now you can be free from the dirty smell in your clothes, your car and also your breath. There is no more need to worry about your stained teeth; they won’t get yellow with E-Cig.

Smoking is banned in public places, but with e-cig you have the freedom to smoke anywhere anytime you wish. Let it be at your work place or restaurants or even aero planes.

When you inhale the smoke when someone else is smoking nearby, it is called second hand smoke. So not only affecting ourselves by smoking normal cigarettes but also we cause hazards to our friends who don’t smoke. Second hand smoke is also entirely purged by the use of e-cig. Isn’t this very happy to hear?

We might have heard about the houses set on fire due to the carelessness of a smoker falling asleep without extinguishing the cigarette. No more such tragedies will occur as there is no burning in e-cig.

Thus, at last, for those who have tried many times to quit smoking, but have found them in vain can switch to e-cig and satisfy their crave for smoking and also get rid of all the dangers of a normal cigarette.

You’ve seen electronic cigarettes advertised on television, the internet, and even in stores, but what are they and how are they different from any ordinary tar and filter cigarette? As a new product, electronic cigarettes are an alternative smoking device – not one for quitting. Although nicotine may still be used, an electronic cigarette contains no tar, tobacco, or known carcinogens and do not generate secondhand smoke. Additionally, as most parts of an electronic cigarette kit are reusable, only cartridges and replacement batteries need to be purchased over time.

An electronic cigarette kit contains three parts: a battery with a charger, an atomizer, and a pack of cartridges. Each cartridge contains a liquid composed of flavor oil and nicotine dissolved in propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin. When the three parts are put together and the device activated, the battery makes the atomizer heat up, which turns the liquid inside the cartridge into vapor. The user just needs to inhale the vapor through the mouthpiece.

A lack of tar, known carcinogens, and tobacco give an electronic cigarette kit an advantage over their traditional counterparts. Smoking is banned in public places in most major cities now, and smokers relying on traditional cigarettes must wait several hours to get their fix. A smoking ban, however, is necessary; pedestrians should not put up with secondhand smoke on the street, and sidewalks should not be littered with cigarette butts. Electronic cigarettes, however, are not banned, as the devices do not generate secondhand smoke.

Nevertheless, an electronic cigarette kit should not be purchased as a quitting device. Electronic cigarettes, although exploding in popularity over the past year, have not been studied extensively enough to show that using one regularly helps with quitting. Electronic cigarettes, instead, are alternative smoking devices and, based on your needs, may or may not contain nicotine.

A huge topic that is being widely discussed right now in many parts of the world but mainly in Canada right now is to make driving healthier. For all of you smokers out there this will affect you deeply and I feel it’s sort of entering a restriction zone on people’s rights. Now I feel that it’s everyone’s right to smoke if they want as it’s their health and although it harms others just as much I don’t feel the new law that is being proposed is fair.

The law is suppose to ban smoking in cars with children, now if you’re driving with your children I feel you have the right to smoke in your car, but many government officials are now starting to say they want to pass this law as quickly as possible.

Smoking is very bad for children’s health and they are a lot more susceptible to actually taking in second hand smoke then an adult, and while there organs are still developing it can be very unhealthy. I don’t think that banning smoking in cars is going to help though.

I can understand when smoking is banned in public places but when it’s your own vehicle then I don’t think there should be a ban allowed to be placed on this. If you’re a smoker this could be the chance to finally quit smoking because by the looks of it you won’t be allowed smoking outside of your own home shortly.

There are lots of ways I also like this law though because many people want to quit smoking but don’t have the will power. I feel that if they start getting a couple tickets for smoking in their car then they might reconsider smoking at all. The ban is coming in time for the summer travelers because the worst thing for children to breath in the whole way to the cottage is hot smoggy second hand smoke. If you plan on traveling this summer you’ll definitely need to make sure that the smoking ban isn’t in affect where you’ll be because if it is make sure that you’re not caught smoking with children because it will be a fine.

The law will definitely make some non-smoking parent happier to see that something is being done about the polluted air everyone has to breathe in. Children who are old enough to realize what is going on will also I’m sure be very happy with the new law. Most children hate when their parents smoke in the car, and I know I always I did when I was a kid but there was nothing preventing them at the time. Now with this new ban taking affect in different regions we will be able to see how this works.

I still don’t think a lot of people will be happy with this new ban because it sort of is taking away space that they own. Well just need to wait and see if anything big comes from this newly discussed topic.

Described as a filthy habit by many, smoking has long been considered a threat by most if not all non-smokers. Health-wise, the discrimination is quite reasonable, if only because the health risks to non-smokers are even greater than on those who are. Despite the fact that smoking might have benefits as a form of self-medication for depression, the “high” it produces is temporary.  Needless to say, the risks associated with smoking far outweighs its very few benefits, if that word can be used at all in the context of smoking.  Most people would rather not be exposed to the cigarettes and the smoke emitted from it. This is especially true in public places, if the number of territories and countries where smoking is banned in public places is any indication. However, aside from public convenience and the supposed “discrimination” against smokers, there are health benefits for non-smokers because of the smoking ban.

Recent studies show that better respiratory health has been achieved or at least is perceived to be now more attainable among non-smokers.  The reason behind this positive health perception is the passage  of legislation to ban smoking in public. A recent study found that non-smokers who were not exposed to second-hand smoke were showing better signs of respiratory and circulatory health than they were prior to the ban being put into place. Interestingly, most countries that have public smoking bans in place did not foresee this happening and had originally placed legislation against the habit to help cut down the number of people engaged in it. No one is complaining about this unexpected development, of course, being that it is a welcome thing for the non-smoking population.

The data contradicts the expectations of the people who institute such bans. Most people who issue legislations to ban the public consumption of tobacco and cigarettes believe it would cut down on the number of people who did so. Recent research seems to indicate that this is not the case, with the rate of people people quitting the habit remaining steady before and after the bans. This suggests that banning them from smoking in public is not helping them quit and may simply be forcing them to do so in other, less accessible areas. However, since these areas are out of the public arena, non-smokers are reaping the benefits of cleaner, smoke-free air in areas where a ban is in effect.
The study also took into consideration the number of people being hospitalized for smoke-related ailments. Two areas were investigated, with one having a clear and long-standing public smoking ban, and another that had no such legislation passed. The study specifically chose two hospitals, one in each area, that admitted patients for those smoke-related ailments. The study found that less people went to the hospital for heart and respiratory conditions related to smoking were much lower in the area where the ban was in place, whereas it remained steady in the area without a ban.

The research team noted that even just a little exposure was capable of doing much damage to the cardiovascular system with evidence being provided by the study itself. The smoke causes blood vessels to constrict and reduces the amount of oxygen that goes into the brain. The study showed that, even if the non-smoker has no other risk factors, mere exposure to second-hand smoke can increase the risk of cardiovascular damage greatly.
